Radiography involves the use of penetrating Gamma or X-Radiation to examine parts for imperfection. An X-Ray generator or Radioactive isotope is used as a source of radiation. Radiation is directed though the test area and onto the firm, any imperfection are indicated as destiny changes on the firm.
Advantages
Radiography is use to detect internal imperfection/flaw. Any imperfection is shown on the firm which can be visible seen compared to Ultrasonic Flaw Detection.
Disadvantages
Safety issues are taken into consideration when using Radiography as the radiation is harmful. The surrounding is to be concealed.
